The Skin-Tightening Serum in Medicube makes my pores invisible

Among the variety of great shocks I had in 2020, my nose was surprised by the appearance of obstructed pores and blackheads. I had strangely forgotten that the same mask tightly fangs sweat, sebum, and oil across your nose when I was preparing myself for mask-induced pimples. And blackheads are unavoidable when that happens. 

Don’t get me wrong: Enlarged pores are a modest cost to pay in the thick of the epidemic. I also thought there should be a method to fulfill the standards on public health while banning visual signs of obstructed pores. 

My last pick was a clear no-go answer. I can’t avoid that it takes two rounds of masks, gentler extractions, and a bleeding primer to top it while I stick by my appreciation for Skinmiso’s Pore Beauties Nose Mask. I adore the outcomes, but all of us have come a long way this year. Do I have the fortitude to spend half an hour working on the blackheads in my soul? That’d be a big no – I’m weary of pondering. There’s also the standard option to tear pores off my face, but I’ve never been a fan of the short-lived effects and resulting redness, however cathartic that sounds.
I have done what I usually do in moments of great uncertainty: search for choices. So I unloaded an inconspicuous bottle of Medicube Zero Pore Serum that I can safely state is the best thing in the last couple of months. (What do I tell? It was a challenging year.)

Medicube is a K-beauty line driven by a derm that makes buying easy for your skin. There is the Cica line for delicate or weaker barriers and the Glow line for collagen-boosting your face. As my nose was in shape, I immediately stayed on the zero lines, intended to reduce pore size and regulate sebum humidity. In other words, your pores, which form a natural element of your skin’s function, cannot be “closed” or removed. You can make them seem minor and get rid of blackheads when pores are obstructed by oxidized muck. 

Medicube proposes a two-step elimination strategy. First, exfoliate the skin using a moderate mix of AHA (alpha-hydroxy acids) and sebum dissolving salicylic acid Zero Pore pads. The secret sauce is then provided – a serum combining tightening astringent components with hydrating elements to avoid overproduction of oils in the skin. While Medicube calls Zero Pore Serum a “quick cure,” it will not satisfy immediate pore strip. By “rapid,” the brand implies you should wait around two weeks before you observe a complete improvement, and that verifies your results. 

I pull the little Zero Pore doll at the tip of my nose after washing and twisting my face in essence. A mixture of lemongrass, camellia, and cinnamon bark extracts is contained in the milky composition (a clinically proven ingredient for pore-tightening in Korea). They together regulate sebum production and have a calming, straightening effect that prevents pores from overfilling without dryness.
