This Kosas deodorant works in the summer

Question: How many times have you tried to warn a friend or family member about her overpowering B.O. before realizing it’s actually…you?

Because I’m the only one who can utilize it. In the summer, I have a lot of problems, and it’s not only because of the bugs in my hair or the fact that I release so much perspiration that my skin doesn’t get dry. Instead, I’ve had a foul odor the entire month of September. In the heat of summer, finding a natural deodorant that actually lowers the stench has always been a white whale for me. Normally, I’m forced to use an aluminium-based antiperspirant.

To be fair, I’m a plant-based deodorant. I’m more like a test subject because I’ve tried a range of deodorants, from the first generation to the most recent, all to varying degrees of success. The majority of formulas have the same basic structure: These people utilize sweat to soak up natural powders (like arrowroot and baking soda, for example) and then turn the odor into something more palatable, like essential oils.

On the other hand, with Kosa Chemistry AHA Serum Deodorant, the principle of anti-odor underarm treatment is completely different. Instead of just feeding the smelly bugs, it targets bacteria with a cocktail of alpha hydroxy acids, including but not limited to lactic acid, mandelic acid, and shikimic acid, all of which have antibacterial properties.

As a result of this acid combination, germs cannot hack your arm, creating a microclimate change. Another benefit is that friction might lead to the illumination of black belts over time. Because the acid combination works best and exfoliates, it reduces the risk of swallowing hair.

To begin with, rubbing acid into my armpits after shaving seemed revolting and, at worst, agonizing. While I’m hot to the touch on my face (“It works! “), I’m not so hot on my arm. That’s fine, thank you so much. Thank you so much for your kind words. In reality, it was a piece of cake; it rolled easily and dried very immediately. My wait was over before I knew it.

I put it through its paces many times, including a heated car ride and an hour-long stroll in 85-degree heat, as well as long runs and a vinyasa yoga practice in my stuffy bedroom. With each passing minute, I began to yank—natural deodorants don’t make you sweat much, so this was to be expected. However, after laying flat on my back beneath the AC unit and drying my perspiration, I didn’t smell bad at all. Unfortunately, I was unable to stop it even with the anti-sweeping chemical I employed.

I didn’t have much of a scent on me. I smelled serene clean, which is supposed to smell like a spa, but it didn’t smell like anything at all, at least to my nose, which is perfect for the perfume we’ve decided on. However, smelling like nothing is preferable to stinking horrible or like nothing at all. (There’s also a fragrance-free option if you’re sensitive.)
